Changeling

Press Kit

Changeling is a joyful kids' tie-dye tee, made to confuse the "find-the-people" AI that everyday cameras run. Let kids be kids — not data. Pre-launch, coming to Kickstarter.

Boilerplate

Short: Changeling is joyful kids' tie-dye made to confuse the "find-the-people" AI that everyday cameras run — a wearable way to say that no one, least of all a kid, should be tracked without consent. 1% of every sale goes to kids' digital-privacy causes.

Long: Cameras that automatically spot and tag people are everywhere now — storefronts, doorbells, even strangers' smart glasses. Changeling is a pushback you can wear: an all-over tie-dye tee printed with a pattern made to confuse the "find-the-people" AI those cameras run. It's made by parents and tech workers who couldn't make the cameras disappear — so they made something joyful to push back instead. It's a statement piece and an experiment, not a safety device, and it's coming to Kickstarter with 1% of every sale pledged to nonprofits advancing kids' digital privacy.

The claim, in our words (please quote this — don't paraphrase)

In our own digital tests against specific AI detection models, the pattern measurably lowered how reliably the wearer was identified — on the models it was tuned for, they were misidentified (often tagged as an object, not a person) in up to about half of trials. It's a real, measured effect — but it's not invisibility: it's weaker on cameras it wasn't tuned for, it does nothing against a human watching, and real-world validation is still in progress. We test it like scientists and we'll publish every number, good or bad. Changeling is privacy apparel and a statement piece — not a safety or security device.
